YOGA THERAPY

What is Yoga Therapy?

Universally, yoga is recognised for its effectiveness in HEALING. By addressing the underlying root causes of pain and suffering, Yoga Therapy applies traditional yogic models, teachings, and practices to empower individuals to progress in their health and well-being.

Going beyond the psychological or physical, Yoga Therapy examines the whole person. KOSHAS (physical, energetic, emotional, wisdom, spiritual layers of self) are often assessed as well as PRANA (energy) in terms of CHAKRAS (areas of increased body energy) or VAYUS (direction and quality of energy flow).

Yoga Therapy relies on a therapeutic relationship with deep listening and a tailoring of the practice to whatever comes up.

What Should You Expect?

In a Yoga Therapy session, you can expect:

  • A thorough inquiry and assessment of your medical history as well as physical, mental, energetic, and spiritual needs

  • A guided analysis of your breath, posture, gait, and various yoga poses

  • A custom sequence of physical poses adapted to your needs to integrate into your practice
